Le 30 Juin 2009, T.E.R.R.R.E.Liban a clôturé son projet "L'Ecocitoyen Libanais" appliqué dans 1139 écoles officielles primaires et complémentaires sur tout le territoire libanais.

مع بداية العام الدراسي 2008 – 2009 وفي إطار مشروعها المواطن البيئي اللبناني" الذي يهدف إلى نشر شرعة المواطن البيئي اللبناني على كافة الأراضي اللبنانيّة، لتحسين سلوك المواطن تجاه بيئته، تدعو جمعيّة الأرض – لبنان جميع المدارس، خاصّة ورسميّة، إلى تطبيق البند السابع من الشرعة "المواطن البيئي يتناول طعامًا صحّيًا وطازجًا وطبيعيًا" إذ إنّ النظام الغذائي لطلاّبنا لا يقلّ أهميّة عن النظام الدراسي ويؤثّر مباشرةً على أدائهم المدرسي ونشاطهم اليومي.

Papivore Malin PDF Print E-mail
The first campaign launched by T.E.R.R.E. Liban in 1995, was “Papivore Malin” project; at that time the organisation was the pioneer in educating people on sorting at source mainly with paper selection and collection in schools.
The organisation started spreading the 3Rs messages, and the importance of recycling paper through some educational information that were posted on a brown box made of recycled cardboard and distributed at schools.

The Lebanese Ecocitizen PDF Print E-mail
Eco-Citoyen Libanais           

In 2007, and after more than 15 years of activities in the fields of environmental education and sustainable development, T.E.R.R.E. Liban came up with a chart of 12 rules which aiming at helping Lebanese citizen to behave in a respectful way towards their environment, under the name of "The Lebanese Ecocitizen Chart".

All nature reserves in Lebanon are far from the nearest crowded residential area in Lebanon (Beirut and it suburbs). And nature reserves (such as Al-Shouf Nature Reserve, Tannourine Nature Reserve, and Ehden Nature Reserve) are at a high altitude where roads are completely closed in the winter season because of snow. Other coastland nature reserves (such as Sour Coast and Palm Island) are opened only 2-3 months every year during in the summer season.

And from a different perspective, the construction of roads, bridges and buildings is evolving more and more with the rapid increase of the population and the mere absence of rural development which leads to an over crowdedness in the urban areas and its suburbs.
