et despite their critical importance, wetlands are declining at a faster rate than any other ecosystem, driven by urban expansion, pollution, poor water resource management, and the impacts of climate change. Protecting these sites is not a luxury; it is an urgent necessity for preserving biodiversity, ensuring food security, and strengthening resilience to climate change.
